FAMILY START-UP
Rusty Beards was created by brothers Brian and Jonathan Gibson, who grew up in southeastern Kentucky. After many years of moving from state to state, Brian found a home in Texas and Jonathan shortly followed after. Over time, Brian has developed a passion for the worlds hottest peppers, and mixing those with some of the greatest flavors to create the best possible mix of sweetness and heat.
ABOUT
Brian saw a lack of great tasting high-heat Jams, and challenged himself to make a great product worthy of a heat lovers approval. Through his experimentation, he created our flagship Medium Heat Apple Habanero Pepper Jam. Both Brian and Jonathan, proud of the result, seen a lack of products like his in the marketplace, and decided to produce and sell it to other jam and heat lovers. After tonnes of great feedback from family, friends, and customers, he began working on our other two flavors: Lemon Jalapeno, and Strawberry Reaper, and continues to experiment on new flavors for the future.
FRESH INGREDIENTS
Rusty Beards is currently all-natural and made in small batches with fresh ingredients from local markets. We are currently doing research for sourcing larger future batches from local Texas farms.
